Using Mindomo’s Tools

The Web 2.0 application Mindomo has an easy interactive interface that allows its user to quickly create his or her mind map using the toolbar and their shortcuts. Drafting a mind map is easy procedure that starts with drawing a diagram. A diagram takes a form of a tree that starts somewhere and then divides into branches and sub-braces.

Mindomo follow the same logic, it starts with One Central Topic and several topic and sub-topics.  Attach to the central topic are the Main Topic. The uses can attach as many subtopics possible. Attached to the main topics are the Subtopic. They are also unlimited, and can be as many as possible. The sub-topics can have sub-topic of their own, and again those are unlimited. (Mindomo, n.d)

The mind map can have topics that are not attached to any other topic; this is called a Floating Topic. The floating topics are consider part of the map, but have no direct link to any of the topic on the map, and thus not part of the tree. Like other topic, a floating topic can have subtopic.

In a mind map, a user can link some topics and their subtopic by Boundaries, to visually highlight them as a group. In addition, the user can draw Relationships between topics, to visually show a connection that crosses the tree. (Mindomo, n.d)

There are some steps that user of Mindomo should follow to create a mind map. The first of all you need to create an account. Once an account is created, user can enjoy the facilities of Mindomo.
